Mohamed Salah receives the award for the player of the year in England
A new achievement is achieved by the Liverpool star, "Mohamed Salah", as he was awarded the Player of the Year award in England, presented by the Professional Players Association.

The Professional Players Association announced (Thursday) that Salah won the award for the best player in England for the second time in his career, after winning it in the 2017-2018 season.

With this achievement, Salah surpassed a number of stars nominated for the award, led by Kevin De Bruyne, the Manchester City star, who won the award in the past two years, along with Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk, his colleagues in Liverpool, Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United), and Harry Kane (Tottenham). Salah became the most awarded player twice, equaling 6 players: Mark Hughes, Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Kevin De Bruyne.

Salah, 29, participated in 38 games with Liverpool in the English domestic competitions last season, during which he scored 23 goals and assisted 13.

Salah also won the Premier League top scorer award jointly with Heung-Min Son, the Tottenham star, with 23 goals each, and he also won the award for the best playmaker after providing 13 assists to his teammates.
