Most of them are prominent leaders.. 10 al-Qaeda members escaped from a prison in Yemen

10 members of the "Al-Qaeda" organization managed to escape from a detention center in Hadhramaut Governorate, southeast of Yemen, according to "Sputnik" agency, quoting a local source.

The source added that among the fugitives were seven prominent leaders, who had escaped from the central prison in Seiyun, the second largest city in Hadhramaut governorate, 321 km north of Mukalla, the provincial capital.

The source stated that the security services circulated a bulletin with the names and photos of the escaped prisoners, and established checkpoints in the city of Seiyun to track and arrest them, and opened an investigation into the incident.

The escape operation coincides with the seventh anniversary of the Saudi-led Arab coalition forces and the Yemeni army regaining control of the city of Mukalla, Hadhramaut governorate, from the grip of "Al-Qaeda" on April 24, 2016, a year after it fell into the hands of the organization's elements.
