Police believe the Southfield shooting and carjacking are linked to a violent attack in Dearborn

Police believe Monday’s shooting and carjacking by masked men in Southfield may be linked to a violent attack in Dearborn in which a resident was held at gunpoint while armed robbers assaulted his fiancée, officials said.

The Southfield accident occurred at 10:10 pm. Monday (November 8) at block 25800 of Southfield Road, according to authorities.

The victim told police that he was shot by two men who stole his black 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Officials said he was shot in the hand, forearm, and back.

The police took the man to a nearby hospital, where his condition is stable.

Southfield officials believe this incident may be related to an armed robbery that occurred around 6:40 pm. On Mondays in Younger and Hemlock Streets in Dearborn.

Police said a man and his fiancée were parked at home when three armed men approached the 2021 Dodge Charger Scat Pack on foot.

According to the authorities, they violently dragged the woman from the Charger and assaulted her while clutching a gun to her fiancé’s back.

Police said the suspects then stole the charger along with cash, a laptop and other personal belongings.

Officials said it was possible that the victims had been traced back to their homes.
