Qatar rejects an Israeli request

Qatar rejected a request from "Israel" to open a consular office for it during the 2022 World Cup, after news of talks about opening a temporary consulate to help Israelis who would travel to watch the tournament matches.
In the past few days, Israeli media have promoted talks taking place between Israel and the State of Qatar, in this regard, which was denied by sources for Al-Araby Al-Jadeed newspaper, confirming that this request was received through the FIFA, but Doha rejected it.

A source in Doha denied to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed the existence of any direct contacts between Israel and Qatar, noting that the Israelis had held talks with FIFA in an attempt to persuade Doha to open a "consular office" during the World Cup period, to be closed at the end of the event, but Doha refused this  demand.
Qatar treats the Israeli request coldly, and talks on this issue are still continuing without resulting in an agreement, according to the Israeli "Kan" channel.
