Dr. Yelena Solomatina, a Russian nutritionist, explained whether watermelon is a food or a snack, and how much can be eaten at one time without harming health.

The expert indicated in an interview with Radio "Sputnik", that it is better to eat red watermelon as a snack separate from the rest of the food, because it contains a high percentage of sugar, and it can be eaten 200 grams of it at a time.

She says, "There is no need to eat kilograms of watermelon. 100 grams of watermelon contains 25-27 calories, meaning that one kilogram of it contains 250 calories, and this constitutes a heavy burden of sugar, and a person is unlikely to spend it quickly." That is, it is like a complete lunch. However, it is not recommended to make it a substitute for the usual meal. It is recommended to eat 200 grams of watermelon at a time as a snack, instead of eating biscuits or sweets.

She adds, you can eat 200 grams of watermelon four times a day. That is, the body will get 50 calories almost every time, and this is enough during the period between breakfast and lunch, and it can be eaten in the afternoon before the evening roaming period, which helps burn sugar.
