Salzburg beat Dinamo Zagreb 1-0 in the Champions League

Salzburg defeated its guest Dinamo Zagreb 1-0 to keep its slate of European Champions League unbeaten.

Noah Okafor scored the only goal of the match in the 71st minute from a penalty kick, to lead Salzburg to the top of Group E of the Champions League with five points from three games, while Dynamo is third with three points, waiting for the results of the confrontation with Chelsea and its guest Milan today.

The two teams started the match strongly, and each had several chances to score the net, but Salzburg goalkeeper Philip Quinn brilliantly saved Josip Mesic's attempt, while Okafor hit the net from outside. Salzburg increased the pressure in the second half, and managed to equalize from the penalty spot after Dinamo Zagreb's Sadiq Mahrami dropped his opponent Andreas Olmer inside the area.

The Croatian team had a chance to equalize when the defense failed to clear the ball, but Josip Drmic fired the ball towards Quinn.

Benjamin Sisko almost doubled Salzburg's lead and decided the match, but goalkeeper Dominic Levakovic saved his attempt before Drmic's header in stoppage time was disallowed for offside.
