The Duma approves the inauguration of a trade corridor worth $30 billion

Yesterday, Thursday, the Russian government approved a project to launch a commercial shipping line in the northern hemisphere, with an estimated cost of more than 1.8 trillion rubles ($30 billion).

"RT" website quoted the government as saying that it "continues to work on establishing the infrastructure of the Northern Navigation Corridor," noting that it is the most important shipping lane, as it is of national and global importance.

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order approving the plan to develop navigation in the north until 2035.

According to a statement issued by the Council of Ministers, the proposed shipping line extends from northern Russia to connect the Atlantic Ocean (west) and the Pacific Ocean (east), and will be able to transport goods with the lead of oil and gas.
