The hearing provides another plea of guilt in a case related to a corruption investigation in Taylor

Another man federally charged with conspiracy to commit a bribery linked to Mayor Taylor changed his guilt.

Hadeer Alton, 49, pleaded guilty Wednesday to conspiring to commit bribery with Taylor Mayor Richard Solares, Jeffrey Bohm, the city’s director of community development, and Shadi Awad, the area’s real estate mogul.

In a plea agreement similar to Alton’s, Awad pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bribery in a plea agreement with the US government on October 22.

Alton’s guilty plea now causes two of the four accused in a corruption scandal to plead guilty.

The Farmington Hills resident faces up to five years in prison. The term of an indicative sentence for Alton is between 27 and 33 months.
