The Houthis require the opening of Sanaa airport and the port of Hodeidah and the payment of employee salaries to extend the armistice

The head of the Supreme Political Council formed by the Houthi group "Ansar Allah" in Yemen, Mahdi Al-Mashat, reiterated adherence to lifting the restrictions of the Arab coalition on Sana'a International Airport and the port of Hodeidah, to extend the armistice.

Al-Mashat said during his meeting in Sanaa with the delegation of the Sultanate of Oman, to discuss issues related to the armistice and the proposals of the UN envoy Hans Grundberg on this and to address humanitarian and economic issues, that "it is necessary that any armistice be accompanied by a tangible improvement of the economic and humanitarian situation of the Yemeni people, including the payment of salaries of all state employees and pensions of retirees." ".

He added, "The demands of the Yemeni people represented in stopping the aggression (in reference to the operations of the Arab coalition) and lifting the siege on Yemen, starting with the total and immediate opening of Sana'a International Airport and the port of Hodeidah, and disbursing the salaries of all employees from oil and gas revenues are just and fair demands, and do not imply any disability. Or it would require a concession from the other party (the Yemeni government)."
