The Iraqi "Al-Rabiaa" channel was attacked and its content was vandalized

The Iraqi Channel Al Rabiaa reported that people stormed the institution's headquarters and smashed its contents, after incitement against it "by channels affiliated with the Sadrist movement in the Telegram."

The administration of Iraq's Al Rabiaa Channel condemned "what a group belonging to the Sadrist movement did in attacking the channel's headquarters and breaking its equipment, after asking a question on one of the talk shows."

The administration stated in a statement, that it "condemns what a group belonging to the Sadrist movement has done in attacking the channel's headquarters and breaking its equipment, after asking a question on one of the talk shows, which is part of the silencing policy."

The administration added that it was "surprised that the government and its agencies remained silent in the face of the sabotage, even though the channel informed them of the threat," stressing that "the channel reserves its legal right to sue those who committed this act and those who stood by and watched without moving a finger."

The administration also called on the Media Authority and the Journalists Syndicate to "take an official position."
