The Israeli army announced, this morning, Saturday, that it launched raids inside the Gaza Strip, in response to the launch of a missile last night towards the Ashkelon area.

On his Twitter account, the Israeli army spokesman, Avichai Adraee, said: "The IDF is launching raids inside the Gaza Strip in response to the firing of a missile last night towards the Ashkelon (Ashkelon) area."

Adraei added: "It is reported that the missile was intercepted by Iron Dome, to be followed later."
