The Jordanian Prime Minister reveals the situation in Aqaba Governorate after the gas leak accident

Today, Tuesday, the Jordanian Prime Minister revealed the situation in Aqaba Governorate, after hundreds of people were killed and injured as a result of the poison gas leakage accident yesterday.



In a press statement, Bishr Al-Khasawneh confirmed that "life has returned to normal in Aqaba Governorate, and the movement of ports and navigation has been fully resumed after an incident of toxic gas leaking from a tank in the port," noting that "the situation is under control."


Al-Khasawneh said, "The security cordon at the port will remain in the vicinity of the accident, in order to ensure that the gas does not affect the citizens."


And yesterday, Monday, the leakage of toxic gas from a tank in one of the ports of Aqaba killed 13 people and injured hundreds, including two critical cases who were transferred to Amman, according to the Jordanian authorities.
