The latest studies.. 3 types of long-term effects of corona

British researchers concluded that there are three “types” of long-term effects of corona.

And the British "PA Media" agency reported that experts from King's College London said there appeared to be three "subtypes" of this condition, and each type had its own set of symptoms.

Divide into three groups

The researchers examined 1,459 people suffering from the long-term effects of corona, as this case was identified as suffering from corona symptoms for at least 84 days after infection with the virus.

The preliminary results of the study, which was published on the MedRexiv website for scientific research, concluded that people who suffer from the long-term effects of corona are divided into three main groups. The first group includes those who suffer from neurological symptoms including fatigue, brain fog and headache, and these symptoms were the most common among those infected with the alpha and delta strains.

Members of the second group suffer from respiratory symptoms, including chest pain and inability to breathe, and these symptoms were more common among those infected with the virus during the first wave of the outbreak.

The third group suffers from a variety of symptoms, including heart palpitations, muscle aches, and changes in skin and hair.

Claire Stevens, the lead researcher who carried out the study, said: “These data clearly indicate that post-infection symptoms with corona are not a single condition, but appear to be several subtypes.” "Understanding the root causes of these subtypes may help inform treatment strategies," she added.
