The "Supreme Politician" in Sana'a: Renewing the truce requires the payment of salaries and the restoration of services

The Supreme Political Council in the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, announced that the renewal of the truce requires a commitment to pay the salaries of all employees, and to restore services that were cut off as a result of the war.

This came during a meeting of the council formed by the "Ansar Allah" movement (Houthis).

The meeting, which was chaired by the President of the Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, stressed the need to fully open Sanaa International Airport and the port of Hodeidah.

The Yemeni news agency "Saba" quoted the council as saying that "the renewal of the truce requires a commitment to pay the salaries of all employees and the rest of the services that the aggression made to double the suffering of the Yemeni people."

The agency said that the Supreme Political Council took the initiative to "open a special account at the Central Bank branch in Hodeidah, and the revenues of the port of Hodeidah were transferred to it to contribute to the payment of salaries to all state employees, while the other party and the United Nations did not commit to filling the gap to pay salaries."

The Supreme Political Council described the payment of salaries and pensions as "a natural entitlement for all employees and retirees."
