The work of the Military and Security Committee has stopped in Aden, southern Yemen

Yemeni sources told local satellite channels loyal to the government of the Presidential Council that the work of the Military and Security Committee has stopped in Aden, southern Yemen, as a result of disagreements within the Saudi-appointed Leadership Council.

And the sources in the government of the Presidential Command Council in Aden stated that "the work of the joint security and military committee to achieve security and stability and the restructuring of the armed and security forces formed under Article 5 of the Declaration of the Transfer of Power and the Riyadh Agreement between the Hadi government and the UAE-backed Transitional Council has stopped."

The sources also said that "the committee's work has become implicitly frozen without an official decision from the Presidential Leadership Council."

Government sources also confirmed that the suspension of the activities of the Military Committee came as a result of disagreements within the Presidential Leadership Council, and the absence of its members outside the country, which led to the suspension of all activities of the Committee, including its subcommittees.

The Saudi-appointed Presidential Command Council had issued a decision to form the joint security and military committee to achieve security and stability, and to restructure the armed and security forces in accordance with Article (5) of the announcement of the transfer of power by former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi in early April.
