Gas: It is a common cause of abdominal cramps. Gases are naturally produced by digestion, but being trapped in the intestines causes increased pressure, abdominal pain, flatulence, and belching.


Stomach acid reflux: A person may feel burning and pain in the abdomen due to the reflux of stomach acids into the esophagus. This may cause other symptoms, such as abdominal cramps and bloating.


Vomiting: Most often, vomiting occurs as a result of stomach acid reflux, which causes irritation of the inner tissues of the esophagus and abdominal pain.


Constipation: Constipation usually occurs due to a lack of fiber and fluid intake, taking some medications, lack of physical activity, or as a result of diseases and disorders such as bowel obstruction.


Food intolerance: Food intolerance leads to the body producing a large amount of gas, and thus feeling pressure and pain in the abdomen, nausea, vomiting, bloating and diarrhea.


Stomach ulcers: Stomach ulcers cause wounds and ulcers to appear in the stomach tissue, and thus the feeling of abdominal pain and cramps, bloating, indigestion and weight loss.


Urinary tract infections: This condition leads to pain, pressure and bloating in the lower abdomen.
