Thwarting an operation for parents who tried to sell their child in Baghdad

On Saturday, the intelligence agency announced that it had thwarted the sale of a child for $5,000 by his parents in Baghdad.

"The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency in the Ministry of Interior continues its efforts to combat organized crime in all its forms, especially human trafficking crimes, as the agency's heroes managed to thwart an attempt to sell a child from one of the provinces in Baghdad governorate by his father," the agency said in a statement.
