Trump campaign made $80,000 a day selling MAGA hats

A media report revealed that former US President Donald Trump made $80,000 a day selling red MAGA hats during his 2016 election campaign.

Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law, said in his memoirs to be issued later that Trump's aides asked only 100 hats to start selling them before they achieved a huge success among Trump supporters in his election campaign, according to the British newspaper, The Independent.

Kushner said that the price of these hats contributed to covering most of the daily expenses of the election campaign, noting that Trump designed the hat himself and ordered the manufacture of 1,000 of them. In the same context, he pointed out that Trump wore the hat during his visit to the southern border, becoming the focus of everyone's conversation on the Internet.

“The demand for the hat got so fantastic, so I worked with Amanda, who was the head of marketing and communications for the Trump Organization, to set up an online store, where we started selling hats for up to about $8,000 a day,” he said.

Kushner did not mention the cost of making the hats, but estimates are that it is no more than $2 to $3 per hat.
