Two Yemeni security officers were killed in an Al-Qaeda attack on a security headquarters in Al-Dhalea

Two senior Yemeni security officers were killed on Friday in an attack launched by the terrorist "Al-Qaeda" organization on a security headquarters in Al-Dhalea Governorate, south of Sanaa, while 5 of the attackers were eliminated.



The source confirmed that clashes followed the attack, which took place in front of and inside the security headquarters gate, and resulted in the killing of Colonel Muhammad Yahya Al-Shobaji, commander of the anti-terror unit in Al-Dhalea, and Captain Walid Al-Dami, deputy commander of the security belt forces in the governorate. Command of the Security Belt Forces located in the Hakoula area in the northern part of Al-Dhalea district, the center of the governorate of the same name.

"The attack and clashes also caused a number of wounded members of the security guard," he added.


The source indicated that the clashes stopped, and the injured were treated, some of them in critical condition.
