Video... Close-up shots of the erupting volcano near the capital of Iceland!

On Thursday, videos monitored moments of lava flowing from an erupted volcano near the Icelandic capital, at a time when the authorities issued a warning to residents and tourists.

And the authorities in Iceland said, on Wednesday, that the Vajradalsvilla volcano, 40 km from the capital Reykjavik, erupted.

New videos showed the red lava flowing like fast water into the river, in addition to plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

The Department of Civil Protection and Emergency said in a statement that tourists and residents should avoid the area due to the toxic gases, although there was no immediate risk of damage to vital infrastructure. "For the time being, there are no disruptions to flights to and from Iceland and international flight lanes remain open," the foreign ministry said in a statement.

The Reykjanes Peninsula is an active volcanic and seismic spot, and the eruption occurred only 25 kilometers from Reykjavik and 15 kilometers from the country's international airport.

It is noteworthy that this volcano experienced an eruption last year that lasted 6 months.
