Volunteers from Annapolis and Crestwood high schools enjoyed cleaning Van Houten park in Dearborn Heights

Volunteers from Annapolis and Crestwood high schools enjoyed this crisp fall day by making Dearborn Heights a bit cleaner. Under the supervision of Mayor Bill and Nadia Bazzi, and Deputy Parks and Recreation Director Katie King, the students removed leaves and trash, and trimmed overgrown shrubs, as part of their community service commitment. The park is named for the late Mayor Lyle Van Houten, who died in 2006.
