Women's tributes to the appointment of the first Yemeni woman to the membership of the Supreme Judicial Council

The decision of the Presidential Leadership Council in Yemen was praised by women's circles in appointing Judge Sabah Al-Alwani to become the first woman in the membership of the Supreme Judicial Council, which is the highest judicial authority in the country, as an additional gain, not only for Yemeni women, but also for Arab women.

Activists in the appointment saw a shift in the representation of women within decision-making positions, and a new gain in fair representation in the judiciary, which has been monopolized by men for decades.
