Yemen.. The United Nations presents a revised draft of the road reopening plan

The UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, presented to the Yemeni government and the "Ansar Allah" group a revised proposal for a plan to reopen the roads of Taiz and other governorates, and a mechanism for implementing and ensuring the safety of travelers.

Grundberg said: "This is the first step in our collective efforts to lift restrictions on the freedom of movement of Yemeni women, men and children within the country. It is the moral and political responsibility of both parties to deal seriously and urgently with the UN proposal, prioritizing the interests of civilians and achieving direct and tangible results for the residents of Taiz and the people." Yemen as a whole.

He pointed out that "while I continue my efforts and my engagement with the parties on this file, I hope that the proposal will maintain this momentum required to move forward in discussions on more sustainable arrangements within the United Nations multi-track operation," stressing that "by agreeing to the implementation and renewal of the armistice Now, the parties have provided a glimmer of hope to Yemenis that it is possible to end this devastating conflict."
