Yemenis gather in several Yemeni governorates to mark International Quds Day

On Friday, massive demonstrations took place in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and several other Yemeni governorates, in commemoration of the International Quds Day, which falls on the last Friday of the month of Ramadan every year.

The demonstrators gathered in a spacious square north of the capital, Sana'a, in conjunction with similar demonstrations in 60 squares in 13 other governorates.

A statement issued by the "International Quds Day Marches in Yemen" (a non-governmental organization), stressed that "Palestine is a just and just cause, and its destiny is to be victorious, and the fate of the temporary occupying entity is to be eliminated."

The statement stressed that "security and stability in the region can only be achieved by eliminating the usurping Israeli entity from existence."

And the statement added that "the battle with the Israeli enemy is an open civilized battle in all fields," explaining that "options to shirk responsibility, silence, and surrender are options that are in the enemy's interest."
